Men's Handmade Hand Block Printed Indian Woven Cotton Long Sleeve Button Down Pocket Shirt - Red with White Vines - Darragh I963
Mumtaz Creations' handsome, handmade cotton men's shirt made from ethnic Indian fabric in a traditional button down, collared style.
Darragh is a unique shirt hand made from hand-block printed fabric in a beautiful red with subtle vines throughout. Stunning!
Hand block printing is an ancient Indian technique that uses hand carved wooden blocks, natural dyes, and salt water rinses to create original artwork on fabrics. Each plant-based color is printed separately, resulting in a unique piece of art.
I tailored this fabric into a traditional style, casual fitting men's button down shirt. The collar is lightly reinforced, and it comes with a left-side chest pocket. The Darragh shirt is made with flat felled seams (much like a pair of jeans) for the best in comfort and a professional finish. It has dual buttons at the wrist for adjustable sizing as well .
This lightweight ethnic material dries very quickly, which is ideal for hot summers, traveling, and tropical climates. Perfect for adding originality to your wardrobe!

A note about Indian Material - all cottons have been prewashed/preshrunk before sewing. Some cottons, particularly hand-printed ones, will bleed slightly in the first couple washes. This material itself comes from Jaipur, India from printers that I met during our time living in mainland India.
Indian hand-block printed fabric may occasionally have what others would call "imperfections" since it is, after all, handmade. It is expected to occasionally see small overprints and inconsistencies. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I try to work around most blemishes while cutting and sewing, and do my best to note "marks" when noticeable.
Care instructions: Machine or hand wash COLD. Hang dry, or tumble low heat.
