Men's Lined Sari Chiffon Material Long Sleeve Button Down Handmade Dress Shirt - Gray Scale Splash on White - Ferrand J991
Stunning, unique men's button down shirt handmade exclusively by Mumtaz Creations.
The Ferrand shirt has various shades of grey and black in an abstract splash on a white base. Pattern placement differs on each shirt. I've tied in the collar and cuffs with an accenting black/grey pattern with coordinating black buttons for a stunning effect.
The exterior material is a lightweight polyester chiffon Indian sari material with a soft-against-the-skin polyester lining. The resulting combination is a non-see-through, soft, breathable shirt for all seasons.
This pocketless long sleeved Mumtaz original shirt has dual buttons at the wrist for adjustable sizing. The collar holds its shape nicely without stiffener. The Ferrand shirt is professionally made in a casual cut with the lining unattached at the bottom. The shoulder and arm seams are flat-felled while the sides are double stitched and serged.

A note about Indian Sari Material - all my material was purchased fairly in India where we lived for two years with our small children. It was there that I developed a deep admiration for the vibrant colors and culture of this area. Since then I've been fusing this creatively into the clothing that I make.
Sari fabric may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny white spots where the ink missed, miniscule snags in this delicate material, slight overprints, chalk marks from the manufacturer (which wash out), etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I always try to work around such areas, and attempt to note such "marks" when noticeable.
Please keep in mind that sari material is delicate and will snag easily. The women of India make it look easy...carrying buckets on their heads, children on their hips...but regardless, care should be taken with this handmade garment.
Care instructions: Machine wash inside out on gentle cycle. Tumble dry low heat or air dry. No ironing necessary.
Custom orders welcomed, as I have plenty of extra sari material. However, I usually can not duplicate the same color/print since sari material is not sold in multiples.
