The Nevis shirt is hand crafted with Indian sari chiffon material with a soft matching polyester lining. This stunning shirt features a dark on light teal check pattern with navy and gray geometric accents. In sunlight it appears aqua while in subtler light it is in the teal range.

This short sleeve Mumtaz original shirt is made with a lightly reinforced collar in a casual, comfortable fit. An unlined pocket accents the chest while the shoulder panel pulls in the full color range of the material. The seams are double stitched and serged. This lightweight, breathable shirt is excellent for summer outings!

A note about Indian Sari Material - all my material was purchased fairly in India where we lived for two years with our small children. It was there that I developed a deep admiration for the vibrant colors and culture of this area. Since then I've been fusing this creatively into the clothing that I make.

Sari fabric may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny white spots where the ink missed, miniscule snags in this delicate material, slight overprints, chalk marks from the manufacturer (which wash out), etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I always try to work around such areas, and attempt to note such "marks" when noticeable.

Please keep in mind that sari material is delicate and will snag easily. The women of India make it look easy...carrying buckets on their heads, children on their hips...but regardless, care should be taken with this handmade garment.

Care instructions: Machine wash inside out on cool, gentle cycle with like materials or handwash. Tumble dry low heat or preferably hang dry.
