One of a kind, artistic men's dress shirt handmade from Indian sari material in a handsome fuchsia/purple/tan print. A silky soft summer favorite!

This light weight silk chiffon comes straight from India and is made with a soft polyester crepe lining for comfort. The front captures floral and geometric patterns pulled together in stripes with the back made of coordinating, less flashy fuchsia material. Fashion at its finest!

The Jarlath shirt is handmade from high quality material that dries very quickly, doesn't retain odors, and doesn't need ironing. An excellent choice for everyday wear, traveling, and hot climates.

I've made this shirt with no stiffening in the collar for a casual look and feel, however it comes with an unlined left side chest pocket. Professional stitching with flat seams ensures an heirloom garment that lasts.

A note about Sari Material - all my material was bought fairly in India where we lived for two years. Although it is often termed "silk", this is more of a colloquial expression referring to a combination of polyester and silk.

Sari fabric also may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny white spots where the ink missed, miniscule snags in this delicate material, chalk marks from the fabric manufacturer (which wash out), etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I try to work around any noticeable areas and note "marks" when apparent.

Please keep in mind that sari material is delicate and will snag easily. The women of India make it look easy...carrying buckets on their heads, children on their hips...but regardless, care should be taken with this handmade garment.

Care instructions: Machine wash gentle, or preferably hand wash. Line dry.
