One of a kind men's dress shirt made from Indian sari material. While this material would've traditionally been worn as a sari by an Indian lady, I've been creative and made this original, handsome men's shirt.

The Bodvar shirt is medium weight, yet dries very quickly, making it ideal for spring/autumn, traveling, and tropical climates. This stunning black/white/mauve pattern is symmetrical on the front, has a bit of sheen and drapes wonderfully. There are a few ink splashes upon close viewing.

This long sleeve shirt has two buttons at the wrist for adjustable sizing. The collar is soft, without any stiffening, and the chest comes sans pocket. There's a decorative panel of mauve along the bottom.

* Size: Large
* Color: Bodvar
* Material: polyester/silk

Garment measurements: Chest 46"/117 cm, Arms 25"/64 cm, Length 29.5"/75 cm, Shoulders 19.5"/50 cm

*** I've also made a coordinating child's shirt from this material in the Youth Boy's Clothing section under the same color name Bodvar. ***

A note about Sari Material - all my material was bought in India where we lived for two years. Although it is often termed "silk", this is more of a colloquial expression referring to a combination of polyester and silk.

Sari fabric also may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny white spots where the ink missed, miniscule snags in this delicate material, chalk marks from the manufacturer, etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I try to note "marks" when noticeable, and do not sell any significantly damaged items.

Please keep in mind that sari material is delicate and will snag easily. The women of India make it look easy...carrying buckets on their heads, children on their hips...but regardless, care should be taken with this handmade garment.

Care instructions: Machine wash gentle, or preferably hand wash. Line dry.

Custom orders welcomed, as I have plenty of extra sari material. However, I usually can not duplicate the same color/print since sari material is not sold in multiples - thus the originality in our creations
