Men's Handmade Sari Silk Button Down, Short or Long Sleeve Dress Shirt - Rust with Blue Stripe Accents - Medium or XL - Hayden I868
One of a kind, artistic men's dress shirt handmade from Indian sari material in a beautiful rust color. A silky soft summer favorite!
This medium weight silk comes straight from India and has a touch of sheen to it. Rust concentric circles on rust give the pattern some depth, and I used accenting blue stripe material for the collar and wrist cuffs.
The Hayden shirt is handmade from high quality material that dries very quickly, doesn't retain odors, and typically doesn't need ironing. An excellent choice for everyday wear, traveling, and hot climates.
I've made these shirts with no stiffening in the collar but with a left side chest pocket. Professional stitching with flat seams ensures an heirloom garment that lasts.

A note about Sari Material - all my material was bought in India where we lived for two years. Although it is often termed "silk", this is more of a colloquial expression referring to a combination of polyester and silk.
Sari fabric also may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny white spots where the ink missed, miniscule snags in this delicate material, chalk marks from the fabric manufacturer (which wash out), etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I try to work around any noticeable areas and note "marks" when apparent.
Please keep in mind that sari material is delicate and will snag easily. The women of India make it look easy...carrying buckets on their heads, children on their hips...but regardless, care should be taken with this handmade garment.
Care instructions: Machine wash gentle, or preferably hand wash. Line dry.
Custom orders welcomed, as I have plenty of extra sari material. However, I usually can not duplicate the same color/print since sari material is not sold in multiples.
Thanks for looking and appreciating my Indian inspired handmade men's shirts!!
