Men's Handmade Sari Silk Short Sleeve Button Down Dress Shirt - Bronze with Royal Accents - Size Large - Dawit I949
A stunning Mumtaz original men's shirt made from modern Indian sari material.
The Dawit shirt is a handsome bronze color with a splash of green and royal blue along the borders. It has a touch of sheen which is hard to detect from the photos and is much more impressive in person! I used a coordinating ancient village piece for the sleeves. A very sharp looking shirt!
This medium weight, woven material is comfortable, fashionable, and doesn't retain odors. Cool ironing may be necessary as this woven material will hold wrinkles.
Our funky sari silk Mumtaz men's shirt are made in a casual fit with a lightly stiffened collar and a chest pocket. It's made with serged seams for a professional look and feel, and comes with a spare button inside at the waistline.
A great shirt for the office, parties, and everyday wear. This lightweight material dries very quickly, which is ideal for hot summers, traveling, and tropical climates.

A note about Sari Material - all my material is/was bought in India where we lived for two years. Although it is often termed "silk", this is more of a colloquial expression referring to a combination of polyester and silk. It is soft and exquisitely comfortable!
Sari fabric also may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny spots where the ink missed or overprinted, miniscule snags in this delicate material, chalk marks from the manufacturer, etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I try to work around such areas and attempt to note "marks" when noticeable.
Please keep in mind that sari material is delicate and will snag easily. The women of India make it look easy...carrying buckets on their heads, children on their hips...but regardless, care should be taken with this handmade garment.
Care instructions: Machine wash gentle, or preferably hand wash. Hang dry, or tumble low heat. Warm iron if needed - hot will melt this material.
Thanks for looking and appreciating my Indian inspired men's shirts!!
