A pale blue bhandani Mumtaz Creations' long sleeved cotton men's shirt, hand crafted with ethnic Indian material. I collected this material while living in India and finished the shirt after returning to the US.

The Oliver shirt is an amazing, soft knit cotton with a variety of color splashes. The bhandani method of coloring is similar to tie dye, using thread to gather each dot in a circle and dyeing the fabric by hand. Each resulting shirt is a work of art!

This material is medium weight with a soft, comfortable hand. The collar is lightly stiffened, it and comes with a left-side pocket. Two buttons at the wrist give you adjustable sizing, and I've added a spare button on the inside of the shirt incase one is lost.

This durable material dries very quickly, which is ideal for hot summers, traveling, and tropical climates. Light ironing may be required.

A note about Indian Material - all cottons have been prewashed/preshrunk before sewing. Some cottons, particularly hand-printed ones, will bleed slightly in the first couple washes. It is recommended to initially wash your garment in salt water to fix the colors.

Indian fabric also may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny white specks where the ink missed, miniscule snags in this delicate material, chalk marks from the manufacturer, etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I try to note "marks" when noticeable, and do not sell any significantly damaged items.

Care instructions: Machine wash cold. Hang dry, or tumble low heat.

Custom orders welcomed, as I have plenty of extra material. However, I usually can not duplicate the same color/print since this type of material is not sold in multiples.
