The Scarlett shirt has beautiful shades of burgundy and tan hand printed on semi-sheer cotton. The process of dyeing is much like tie dye but is called bandhani in India and this style is very popular there. Only one of it's kind ever made!

I made this shirt with gathered, adjustable shoulder sleeve featuring drawstrings with capped ends. This lightweight material is specially made for keeping the wearer cool as it dries very quickly, making it ideal as a shirt or cover-up for hot summers, traveling, and tropical climates.

A note about Indian Material - all of my material was bought fairly in India where we lived for two years with our small children. Indian made fabric may have what others would call "imperfections". Tiny white spots where the ink missed, miniscule snags in this delicate material, chalk marks from the manufacturer (which was out), etc. These are not blemishes, but an inherent part of this original, ethnic material. I always try to work around such areas, and note "marks" when noticeable.

Care instructions: Machine wash gentle in cool water, or preferably hand wash. Hang dry, or tumble low heat. This material will endure normal wear well, but may snag easily.
